Burnie Learns to Share
Hey everyone, it’s Burnie here, your favorite furry friend! Today, I want to talk about something super important: making friends!
Now, you know how much I love to eat. My food bowl is like my treasure chest; I like to go to it whenever my tummy feels a little empty. Sometimes, I gobble everything up in one big woof and other times, I like to take my sweet time. There’s no judging a dog by his eating habits, right?
Everything changed when Chloe, another dog, started coming to visit. Chloe’s a great friend but has a different approach to food. The second she sees my bowl, she dives right in! Now, at first, I wasn’t too happy about that. My food! My treasure chest!
But here’s the thing: being a good friend is about more than just sharing toys (although sharing toys is pretty awesome, too!). It’s about accepting that everyone is different, even our furry friends!
Just like Chloe and I have different ways of eating, you and your friends might have different hobbies, interests, or even ways of playing. That’s okay!
Here’s what I learned about making friends:
Friends come in all shapes and sizes (and fur patterns)!
Just because someone’s different from you doesn’t mean they can’t be your best friend.
Sharing is caring… even when it comes to food (sometimes).
Maybe Chloe can have a little snack from my bowl, and I can learn to share my yummy kibble.
Friendship is all about being happy together!
Even if we eat differently, we can still have a blast playing fetch or cuddling on the couch.

Remember, the best friendships are where you can celebrate your differences and have fun together! If you’ll excuse me, I think I hear Chloe at the door… time for some playtime (and maybe a little snack sharing)!
